The history of Imbalstudi is that of a family-run Italian business, founded in the post-war years like many other examples of Italian excellence. It is a story built on dedication and passion for work; work that must constantly evolve, as every day brings new challenges to face.

  • 1945 | The Origins
    Our company was founded in Turin after World War II under the name Scatolificio Torino, established by Giovanni Colla.
  • 1983 | Transformation
    The company was passed on to Giovanni’s son, Mario Colla, and took the name Imbalstudi. Under his leadership, the business evolved and specialized in die-cutting, expanding its product range.
  • 2018 | A New Generation
    Alessandro Colla joined the family business, marking the beginning of the third generation. With his arrival, the company underwent a formal transformation, becoming a limited liability company (S.r.l.).
  • 2020 | Introduction of Thermoforming
    In 2020, the company took another step forward by introducing thermoforming as one of its core manufacturing processes.
